Express-ID7 is a COM Express CPU module in Basic form factor, 125 mm x 95 mm, compliant with PICMG COM.0 Rev 3.0 Type 7: the system logic sits on the module, the application I/O on the carrier. You fit it into network appliances, edge servers and industrial control, where the carrier outlives the silicon.
The difference is made by the scalability of the SoC: Intel Xeon D-1700 SKUs range from 4 to 10 cores with TDP from 40 W to 67 W, several of them in eTEMP versions, all on the same pinout. DDR4 SO-DIMM 2933 MT/s memory is available in ECC or non-ECC, and the SEMA Board Controller provides voltage and current monitoring, watchdog and fan control.
Available child configuration: Express-ID7-D-1712TR, with Xeon D-1712TR 2.0/3.1 GHz, 4 cores, 18 MB, 40 W.
