MTCA.4 is the variant of the standard meant for instrumentation: it provides double-height modules and the option of adding rear transition boards, where the analog connections towards the field find room.
NATIVE-R2 brings this architecture into a low-height rack format, suited to cabinets already occupied by other instrumentation. The operating temperature range runs from -20 to 70 °C and the system is supervised through the IPMI interface; the profiles declared towards the modules are AMC.0 and AMC.1.
