VT8645U MicroTCA chassis with declared operating altitude
VT864 declares the maximum operating altitude, a figure to verify when the system is meant for high-altitude installations: as pressure drops, air carries away less heat and the thermal margin of the chassis narrows.
The tall format leaves room for cooling sized accordingly and for dense AMC module configurations. The operating temperature range goes from 0 to 55 °C and storage from -40 to 70 °C; the declared profiles are AMC.0, AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.4 and the certifications CE, FCC and UL.
