VT814 is a 19-inch MicroTCA chassis usable in a rack or on a desk, 2U high and 14.2 inches deep, compliant with MTCA.4 with rear I/O.
The 26-layer passive backplane uses 12.5 GHz MTCA connectors and carries up to PCIe Gen x8 towards each AMC module. Power is redundant, with 500 W AC modules or 796 W DC modules, and cooling crosses the chassis from right to left. The declared operating altitude is 3048 m.
