COM-HPC Mini Base is the carrier board you use to evaluate and bring up a COM-HPC Mini module before your own application board exists. The 305 mm x 244 mm ATX form factor fits standard chassis and power supplies, with no dedicated mechanics.
What sets it apart are the integrated debug tools: an onboard IO expander exposes the BIOS POST codes on the I2C bus, a socket hosts a secondary SPI flash and jumpers act on the module control signals. Front panel headers, power, reset and sleep buttons and status LEDs complete the workbench.
The functions actually available depend on the installed COM-HPC Mini module.
