Whistleblowing – Internal Reporting Channel

In compliance with whistleblowing regulations, the Whistleblowing Management Procedure aims to provide a framework on the procedures and prerequisites for making reports.

The Internal Reporting Channel has been identified in the Whistleblowing Platform and the office designated to carry out the whistleblowing management activities is the HR department.

The Whistleblowing Platform is an IT tool that guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower, the person involved and the person in any case mentioned in the report, as well as the content of the report and the related documentation, enabling the relevant person to communicate with the whistleblower by providing him or her with an acknowledgement of receipt of the report and feedback on the action taken or intended to be taken on the report.

Anyone who receives a report outside the Internal Reporting Channel (Whistleblowing Platform), shall forward it as soon as possible, and in any case within 7 days of its receipt, to the person in charge, in original with any attachments and in strict confidentiality.

For the purposes of handling the report, it is advisable for the reporting person to provide, in good faith, any useful element to enable the internal investigations to be carried out, including transmitting supporting documentary evidence where available.

By way of example but not limited to, possible cases of violations subject to reporting may include:

• Administrative, accounting, civil and/or criminal offenses;
• offenses that fall within the scope of European Union or national acts related to the following areas: public procurement; services, products and financial markets and prevention of money laundering; product safety and compliance; transportation safety; environmental protection; radiation protection and nuclear safety; public health; privacy and personal data protection; and network and information system security;
• acts or omissions affecting the financial interests of the Union;
• acts or omissions affecting the internal market.

For more information on the procedures, methods and prerequisites for making reports, please see the Reporting Management Procedure.
