PCI-8258 is an eight-axis DSP-based motion controller for computers with a PCI bus, used on multi-axis machines where motion has to be coordinated with measurement acquisition, from assembly to automatic inspection.

The analog outputs work over ±10 volts with a 16-bit DAC and the inputs over ±10 volts with a 12-bit ADC. Field and servo signals travel over a 100-pin SCSI-VHDCI connector.
