AP513 belongs to the AcroPack line, the tech-refresh of Industry Pack modules with PCIe interface: it mounts on an AcroPack carrier and brings four serial communication channels in a single slot, through a 100-pin down-facing Samtec connector, fifty of which are dedicated to field signals.
Configuration is done in software: character size, stop bits and parity are set from register, and each channel handles RTS/CTS handshake for modem control. On board there is a 16-bit general purpose timer/counter with a 125 MHz internal clock for single-shot, re-trigger and interrupt. The module measures 30 mm wide by 70 mm long and works conduction-cooled with the AP-CC-01 kit; Linux, VxWorks and Windows support is available as the APSW-API option.
The family includes the AP513E-LF configuration.
