The AP483 brings the counter/timer function of Industry Pack modules to the AcroPack format, keeping the same memory map. It mounts on PCIe, VPX and XMC carriers and is intended for COTS applications in military, defense, automation, aerospace and development laboratories.
The distinctive feature is the 62.5 MHz time base with five selectable internal clock frequencies: the modes cover event counting, frequency, period and pulse width measurement, quadrature position measurement, square wave generation, pulse trains and pulse widths, time/period interrupter. Triggering is by software or external digital signal, and configuration is largely handled through a single register. Software support covers Windows, Linux and VxWorks.
Available configuration: AP483E-LF, with five 32-bit TTL counters and three 32-bit RS422/RS485 counters.
