AP482 belongs to the AcroPack line, which carries over the functions and memory map of Industry Pack modules onto a PCI Express interface: the module mounts on PCIe, VPX and XMC carriers and coexists with other AcroPack modules in the same system. The declared positioning is COTS — military and defense, automation, aerospace, scientific and development laboratories — with Linux, Windows and VxWorks support.
Each counter operates in event counting, frequency measurement, period and pulse width measurement, quadrature position, PWM output, watchdog timer and one-shot pulse. Synchronization comes from an internal timer, gating, an external digital trigger or software, and configuration is handled through a single register rather than a programming sequence.
Available under the part number AP482E-LF, the TTL counter version.
