MicroTCA Blades & Modules (MTCA.0)
AMC24912-port AMC.2 switch with IEEE 1588 synchronization
AMC249 is an AdvancedMC module conforming to AMC.2 that builds a managed Ethernet switch into an AdvancedTCA or MicroTCA shelf: the copper ports reach the front panel over RJ-45, while the ten gigabit links and the GbE ones are routed towards the backplane.
Time synchronization rests on IEEE 1588 and IEEE 802.1AS, with level one clock recovery from Synchronous Ethernet. Configuration is done over telnet or from the front RS-232 port; the QoS queues are hierarchical by class of service.
