UTC004 brings Ethernet switching inside the MicroTCA shelf: the AMC modules talk to each other and outwards through the backplane fabric, with no further network equipment in the cabinet.
The full-height format allows a greater number of links to be handled against the mid-size modules, at the cost of a wholly taken slot. The board states conformance to the AMC.0 profile, CE, FCC and UL certifications and a storage range from -40 to 85 °C.
