AP580 belongs to the AcroPack line, which brings Industry Pack modules onto a PCIe interface in a compact, rugged form factor for COTS applications. It mounts on XMC, VPX or PCIe carriers and coexists with other types of AcroPack modules on the same carrier: modular assembly, not one board per function.
The single port works at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps; the PCI Express interface complies with revision 2.1, one lane at 2.5 Gbps (Generation 1). On the PoE variant the module acts as power sourcing equipment (PSE) and supplies 52 V DC up to 10 watts to powered devices such as cameras or VoIP phones, in a point-to-point connection.
Configurations: AP580E-LF, 1Gb Ethernet board; AP580E-POE-LF, 1Gb Ethernet with Power over Ethernet. Software support available with APSW-API-WIN, APSW-API-LNX and APSW-API-VXW.
