AMC607 takes a single AMC slot while covering two roles: mass storage and the routing of traffic on the fabric of the MicroTCA shelf.
It is a density choice, of interest in chassis where free slots are few and it pays to concentrate the service functions. The module stays supervised by the shelf manager through IPMI 2.0 and states drivers for Linux, Solaris, VxWorks and Windows. The certifications provided for are CE, FCC and UL, with a storage range from -40 to 70 °C.
