AMC225 is an AdvancedMC module conforming to AMC.2 that exposes two SFP+ cages on the front panel of an AdvancedTCA or MicroTCA shelf, with the link towards the backplane on the XAUI lanes.
The transceivers are chosen at order time among GbE optics in copper or fiber and ten gigabit optics of the 10GBASE-SR, 10GBASE-LRM or 10GBASE-LR type; both ports have to work at the same speed. The module is independent of the operating system and the front panel comes in mid or full height.
