AMC205 brings four Gigabit Ethernet ports on SFP connectors: each port can be populated in copper or in fiber, with an SX transceiver at 850 nm or LX at 1310 nm, so as to fit the same module to different cabling without changing the board.
Traffic is handled by two Intel 82571EB controllers and IP, TCP and UDP checksum offload lightens the processor load. Stated draw is 8 W, MTBF 287,000 hours and storage temperature runs from -40 to 90 °C.
