ETX-PROTOETX reference carrier board in ATX format for development and evaluation
ETX-Proto is the carrier board you use to bring an ETX module onto the bench: 304.8 x 190 mm in ATX format, so it mounts in a standard cabinet and leaves room for probes, cables and the boards under test. It is a development and validation platform, not a plate to integrate in the field.
What sets it apart is the breadth of the exposed I/O: alongside the primary Super I/O there is a Secondary Multi I/O section with COM3 RS-232, COM4 switchable RS-232/422/485, IrDA header, secondary parallel port and up to two floppies. On the video side, VGA on a DB25 connector, dual channel LVDS and PAL/NTSC TV-out coexist; power accepts onboard ATX and AT connectors, with RESET and ATX switch on board.
The supply includes the CF socket assembly and the UDMA HDD, SATA, FDD and TV-out cables.
