The carrier brings four IndustryPack mezzanine modules onto a single slot of the VME rack: it is the modules that define the input, output or communication functions, while the board provides the mechanical and electrical attachment to the bus.
Operation is guaranteed over an extended temperature range, from -40 to 85 °C, a condition required in installations without climate control. The form factor is the VME double Eurocard.
