CM3-BT4 is a single board computer in PC/104 Version 2.6 format with a PCI-104 expansion bus: it replaces or works alongside the CPU of an already designed stack, without redoing the interconnection. It fits machine control, instrumentation and mobile equipment with volume constraints.
Its distinguishing trait is Extreme Rugged environmental qualification: shock and vibration testing to IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC-60068-2-27 and MIL-STD-202F (Method 213B, Condition A and Method 214A, Condition D), plus HALT testing on thermal stress, vibration stress and thermal shock. The 7th generation Intel graphics drives two independent displays, over VGA and LVDS.
Available in two configurations, both with heat spreader: CM3-BT4-E3845 with 0~60 °C operating temperature and CM3-BT4-E3845/ETT with extended −40~85 °C range obtained through screening.
