TPMC460 is a mezzanine module in PMC form factor for serial communication. The carrier board supplies bus and power; the mezzanine adds the serial ports without taking a backplane slot, a usual answer in embedded control and supervision systems. Cooling is by air and the operating temperature is -40~85 °C: the module therefore works outside office ranges as well. The family is available in 2, 4 or 16 channel versions; the configurations also differ in consumption and MTBF, for instance TPMC460-10R.
