ISC-1112-I

Industrial Serial Converters

ISC-1112-IRS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converter with 3 kV isolation

Manufacturer

ISC-1112-I lets an RS-232 unit talk to an RS-422 or RS-485 line, typically to bring a bench instrument onto a multi-drop bus on the shop floor.

The RS-232 port terminates on a DB9 connector while the differential side uses a terminal block, and the two domains stay separated by 3000 VDC isolation that breaks ground loops. Direction control on the RS-485 line is automatic and needs no dedicated handshake signals.

At a glance

  • Serial interfaces: 1× RS-232 (DB9, femmina) + 1× RS-422/485 (morsettiera 10 pin)
  • Isolation voltage: 3000 V
  • Power consumption: 2.2 W
  • Mounting: DIN Rail Mount
