G506 is a peripheral board in 3U 4HP form factor compliant with the CompactPCI Serial PICMG CPCI-S.0 specification, that concentrates four NVMe drives on a single system slot.
Every M.2 socket takes modules of different length and the link towards the backplane is a third generation PCI Express connection. Temperature measurement and drive supervision are on board; cooling is by forced convection and the airflow required depends on the drives fitted.
