G229 is a CompactPCI Serial peripheral board in 3U 4HP form factor that gathers the service interfaces of a system on a single slot: three type A USB connectors, one serial with handshake lines and one full duplex differential serial, both on front D-Sub connectors.
An M.2 slot allows an NVMe drive to be added on board. The link towards the backplane is a PCI Express connection and the board can work air cooled or conduction cooled; the declared certifications include EN 50155 and EN 50121.
