Æ-429-xx-S-PoE is part of the MBS Æ-429 series of avionics interfaces and opens access to the ARINC 429 data bus to user applications.
In the naming of the range the letter S corresponds to the Special features version; the PoE powered line is also documented in the G (General Applications), T (Filtered Reception), F (FileTransfer Support) and XFC (Extended Fault Control) versions, among which the code in the part number gives the bearings.
With PoE the interface takes its power from the same Ethernet link used for data traffic.
