The XRS-1U-S9-SOLO is the 1U extreme rugged server of the XRS series built on single-socket Intel Xeon 6 processors: the computing capacity of a data-center server inside a chassis designed for mobile command centers, field shelters and tactical platforms.
What it carries
- an Intel Xeon 6700/6500 with P-cores or 6700 with E-cores, LGA-4710 socket, TDP up to 210 W, with integrated AI acceleration;
- up to 2 TB of DDR5-6400 ECC Registered on 8 DIMM slots;
- two internal M.2 PCIe 5.0 slots and up to two removable drives, SATA or NVMe U.2;
- one full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slot;
- TPM 2.0 on board.
Network and management
The rear panel carries two 10GbE RJ45 and two 10GbE SFP+ ports, plus a GbE dedicated to IPMI. The IPMI 2.0 services cover monitoring, control and remote management, with SNMP and e-mail alarms: the server is followed from the control center, without sending anyone to the shelter.
The chassis
The 1U chassis is aluminium machined from solid, with an AISI 316L stainless-steel rear panel and RAL 9005 powder coating: the torsional rigidity that edge computing sites demand when they vibrate. Two depths: 450 mm with standard connectors, 475 mm with MIL-grade power input on a D38999 connector and EMC filter. The IP30 double-door front panel carries the USB 3.2 ports and a removable battery holder; conformal coating is available on request. Weight: 8 kg.
Qualifications and environment
Qualified to MIL-STD-810G for temperature, shock and vibration and compliant with MIL-STD-461G for EMI/EMC. The declared operating temperature is -5 to 55 °C, with the extended version at -20 to 60 °C; storage -40 to 71 °C. Operating systems: Windows 10 and 11 IoT.
When it makes sense
It makes sense when the power of a Xeon 6 is needed where there is no data center: one rack unit, AC or DC power even on a MIL connector, remote management. If the specification sets the rack depth or the power connector, write to us: we configure the right version and the storage options.
