ORing's IES-1080A is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch with 8 10/100Base-T(X) ports: the field network where nothing needs configuring, in a slim 26.1 mm wide housing for DIN rail.
What it does
Eight Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX, store-and-forward switching, 1.6 Gbps of switching bandwidth, 7 µs latency, a 1024-address MAC table. There is no management interface: that is the point.
Power
Redundant 12–48 VDC input on a terminal block, with over-current and reverse-polarity protection and an alarm relay that signals the loss of either input. The declared consumption is 3.7 W.
Environment
Fanless metal IP30 housing, DIN-rail mounting, -40 to 75 °C operating and -40 to 85 °C storage temperature. The declared MTBF is 2,439,118 hours, the warranty 5 years. Footprint 26.1 × 144.3 × 94.9 mm, 0.39 kg. EMC compliance with EN 55032, CISPR 32 and FCC Part 15B, immunity to IEC 61000-4-2/-3/-4/-5/-6/-8, safety EN 60950-1.
When it makes sense
It makes sense when the cabinet is short of centimeters and the network is flat: eight devices to connect, two power inputs to watch, no ring to manage. If the cabinet lives outdoors, -40 to 75 °C means no air-conditioned enclosure. Write to us if you need to size the power supply or choose between unmanaged and managed.
