The module brings routing and network security functions inside an embedded chassis: IPv4 and IPv6 routing and firewalling functions run on the JUNOS software, while the interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet and 10 GigE links with 10/100/1000BaseT and 10GBASE-KR ports.
The data plane towards the backplane is PCIe and cooling is foreseen both by air and by conduction, with an extended temperature range declared by the manufacturer. Memory reaches 32 GB soldered directly on the board.
