TPMC371 is a mezzanine module in PMC form factor for serial communication. It adds serial ports to a carrier board already installed, without changing the architecture of the rack: it is the usual way to connect instruments and field units to an embedded system. The build is conduction-cooled, with a -40~85 °C operating temperature: the module gives off heat to the host board and requires no forced air. The configurations of the family vary in number of channels, consumption and MTBF; an ordering example is TPMC371-10R.
