SmartPad DF8A is a full-rugged handheld terminal conceived for the infantry soldier and for those who work in the field with one hand: 370 grams, an aluminum alloy body, IP66 and MIL-STD-810G qualification.
The 5" WVGA screen is sunlight readable thanks to optical bonding and an anti-glare treatment, with a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen usable with the intended gloves as well. The platform is a Freescale i.MX6 Cortex-A9 quad core at 1.0 GHz with Android, 2 GB of LPDDR2 and 32 GB eMMC extendable via micro SD; power comes from a 3520 mAh Li-ion battery with an 8-pin LEMO connector.
