IMC-121FB-SS-SC extends a copper Ethernet link over single-mode fiber, to join two buildings or two plant areas far from each other.
The optical channel works at 1310 nm on an SC connector with a 19 dB link budget, to the IEEE 802.3u standard. The unit weighs 0.21 kg, withstands storage up to 85 °C and takes power from two independent terminal-block inputs, so a fault on the service line does not stop the link.
