The Condor T5-IOX from EIZO Rugged Solutions is a 3U VPX board built around NVIDIA Jetson Thor: it processes data where sensors collect it, not downstream of a link to the compute center.

What's on board

  • NVIDIA Jetson Thor with GPU on Blackwell architecture;
  • 14-core CPU at 2.6 GHz;
  • 128 GB of LPDDR5X, in 8 banks of 16 GB;
  • 4x 25GbE (25GBASE-KR);
  • 2x RS-232;
  • PCIe Gen 5 x4 bus interface;
  • weight 1.223 kg.

Video acquisition sits off the board

The Condor T5-IOX does not carry video inputs on board: it interfaces with external PCIe DMA video capture boards. This is an architectural choice, not a shortcoming — you size the ingest to the slot you need, and the board remains dedicated to processing. The four 25GbE ports move flows between sensors, compute and storage over the chassis network.

Where it works

The stated operating temperature is -40 to 85 °C: the field of use is that of mobile systems and ground platforms, where the electronics sit in an enclosure rather than in a machine room.

For those designing on open architectures, the advantage is integration: AI compute capacity enters an already-defined 3U VPX chassis, without adding a separate subsystem and without reconsidering SWaP and cabling.
